Disugual Metabolic Balance - DIET CAT is Disugual's dietary line indicated for cats that, due to problems or diseases, require a specific diet. Food designed to be complete and balanced and to offer essential support to all cats with special nutritional needs. RENAL: Complete dietary food for cats, suitable to support RENAL FUNCTION in cases of chronic renal insufficiency. Essential nutritional characteristics: Low protein and phosphorus content to support renal function. Rice as the sole source of carbohydrates to support renal function. RENAL is a cat food that supports renal function, and both variants are composed of meat (beef and chicken) with amino acids of high biological value. In addition, the reduced protein content in the product (<320 g/kg PG) supports the utilization of amino acids, reducing the production of nitrogenous waste substances, including urea. RENAL has been formulated with ingredients specially selected for their low phosphorus content (P < 6.5 g/kg of complete feed at 12% moisture content) to avoid renal overload. In addition, to control phosphatemia, calcium carbonate has been included, an agent capable of sequestering phosphorus from the diet and making it less available to the body. RENAL is enriched with salmon oil which, in addition to providing adequate energy intake for the diet of nephropathic cats (which often not only lack appetite due to high azotemia, but also show cases of cachexia/excessive weight loss), contains valuable long chain fatty acids (including EPA and DHA) necessary for a better renal function. Disugual RENAL is a balanced food in terms of vitamin and mineral intake, supplemented with prebiotics (XOS and MOS) and polyphenols extracted from Vitis vinifera. The diet has a reduced phosphorus content and high quality crude protein to support renal function.
